The divisible silos have the roof built into two flanged sections while the cone is built in 5 flanged elements. The cylindrical plating consists of 5 longitudinal coupling flanged units. no. 1 external loading pipe Ø114 mm with shimmed bends and loading terminal type KAT-100-B. This type of construction allows several silos to be transported on a truck or 40 ft. O.T. container. The silos are externally bolted and it allows an easy and fast assembly on the yard. The silos are complete of galvanized nuts and bolts.
The silos are sanded and painted as follows:
Internal finish: anti-rust .
External finish:

  • Preparation: P1 preparation degree, according to the ISO 8501 standard.
  • Painting: a two component, high build, acrylic polyurethane semi gloss primer/finish , containing zinc phosphate anticorrosive pigmentation. Medium thickness 160 µm. Standard colour RAL9002
  • Galvanisation: always included for the crosspieces of the carrying structure.

PLEASE NOTE:
The conditions assumed for the design of each component:
- Ground type: type B, medium consistency soil, average shear waves velocity in the top 30 m: between 360 m/s and 800 m/s, NSPT > 50 blows / 30 cm in coarsed-grained ground and CU,30 > 250 kPA in fine-grained grounds (Eurocode 8);
- Seismic action: peak value of assumed horizontal acceleration of the elastic response spectrum for the lifesaving ultimate limit state: ag/g = 0,20.
