Air Slides

Transport using air slides is a system particularly suitable for the transport of powdery materials.

The channels consist of a closed channel with a rectangular cross-section divided longitudinally by a membrane made of polyester fibre or another material, which divides the channel into two parts. In the upper part the material flows, while in the lower part a flow of air is introduced through the membrane, fluidising the material in the upper part and facilitating its flow. This flow takes place by gravity; in fact, the channels are installed with a downward slope of at least 6°.

There are different configurations with regard to the passage section, the type of fibre, the characteristics of the insufflated air and the slope that directly influence performance in terms of flow rate and wear. 

Air blowing fans, discharge heads and extraction and/or diversion barrels can also be supplied.
